How To Solve Male Impotence Naturally

by Darwin Corby

Male impotence affects a small portion of the population, about 10% or so. But until just recently those figures were largely kept quiet due to embarrassment or
reluctance to admit a problem exists. It's a guy thing of course.

There is a natural solution to male impotence and we will look at that in a moment. Even so, why is impotence treatment information kept under wraps? This might help answer that question.

Prescription medications are big business and many Doctors are given incentives to promote the latest prescriptions for impotence treatment. Remember when
Viagra was hot? Doctors offices were stocked with those four pill sample packs, and they were giving them out like candy. Of course all the latest jokes then were about dirty old men and disgruntled wives. The push for Viagra, Levitra, Cialis and the generic versions of those drugs was on.

So why has a a natural solution to male impotence never become popular before this?

1) No Profit
2) No Profitability
3) No Profits

Basically, all alternative health solutions face the same problem. No interest from big business and minimal support from Doctors trained in the Western Doctrine.

Fact:

A majority of male impotence problems are easily solved with a simple exercise. This impotence remedy can be performed almost anywhere and any time of day.

On a Personal Level:

One incident of male impotence can create concern. Repeat incidents wear down your confidence, create performance anxiety, depression, etc which can cause a viscous cycle. Few men seek out alternatives to male impotence prescriptions, but because you're reading this article you're in the group who would rather avoid possible side effects, dependency, and the prohibitive costs of prescriptions!

A Word of Caution:

If your problem stems from an addiction you'll need to make some difficult decisions and lifestyle changes if sex is important to you. But typically all that's needed is a little effort on your part and a proven program to follow.

Male impotence generally stems from misunderstanding the facts. If you don't have any serious physical trauma like diabetic nerve damage or severed muscle, there is a good chance you can correct the problem quite quickly.

Two Alternatives:

1) Do some research yourself on the PC muscle to understand what it controls and how to strengthen it.

2) Go directly to a proven natural method. Firm Endeavor is a six week course that has quietly helped hundreds of other men looking for a natural impotence remedy.

Excessive Exercise and Eating Disorders

by Jim O'Neill

In our society, the perceived perfect image of women falls right in line with the slenderness of girls 10 to 12 years old. This unrealistic perception spawned by the supermodels seen today in ads for popular clothing and undergarment makers such as Victoria’s secret has caused many women to become obsessed with their own images.

In our society, women are ten times more likely to develop eating disorders and compulsive exercise habits that can be life threatening and often do prove to be fatal.
Here are the most commonly developed eating disorders:

“Anorexia nervosa” is a life threatening disorder that occurs when you eat very little food and become obsessed about your weight even when you are badly underweight. An anorexic person will often see themselves as being fat when they look at themselves in the mirror even though they appear very skinny to everyone else. People with this disorder often turn to laxatives and various diet aids such as fat burning pills to bring their weight down to dangerous levels.

“Bulimia” is a disorder that occurs when you go on an eating binge, and then immediately purge it all out. You will eat a large amount of food, even junk food, and then get it all back out of your system by both self-induced vomiting and laxative use. This practice may throw off your body’s mineral balance in the blood and put the health of your heart at risk.

“Compulsive overeating” followed by “compulsive over exercising” is a pattern that is not as dangerous as anorexia and bulimia but still can lead to both physical and psychological problems. This is a pattern in which you will eat a large amount of food followed up immediately by exercising excessively hard and for a long period of time.

It is estimated that more than one out of three collage female athletes may at one time develop an eating disorder. If you suffer from an eating disorder, seek medical help as soon as possible because if left untreated, these disorders can cause permanent health problems and even death.

Emotional Eating and Obesity

by J. Brian Keith

So what is Emotional Eating really all about? The following report includes some fascinating information about Emotional Eating--info you can use, not just the old stuff they used to tell you.
You can see that there's practical value in learning more about Emotional Eating. Can you think of ways to apply what's been covered so far?

Sandra found her weight ballooning 60 pounds after her separation from her husband. While part of the weight gain was apparently tied to the medication she was taking, the rest appeared to be the result of what can be described as emotional eating. In recent years, greater attention has been focused on the problem of emotional eating for both women and men. In fact, some experts have gone so far as to claim that most weight gain can be blamed on emotional eating. According to Women Today magazine, it has been estimated that as much as 75 percent of overeating is attributed to the emotions.

For a number of people, overeating stems from anxiety. For instance, if you find yourself consuming an entire bag of potato chips, it’s possible that anxiety is the cause. While many people realize that alcohol and illegal drugs are not an antidote to anxiety, they may not understand that indulging in comfort food in order to combat anxiety can be dangerous as well.

In other cases, overeating may be the result of depression. If you feel tired, hopeless, and have lost interest in your normal activities, you may be suffering from a depressive episode. In order to deal with these uncomfortable feelings, people may turn to food in an effort to cheer up. The problem is that the food can lead to weight gain, which can lead to further depression.

At times, overeating may be a symptom of boredom. An individual may figure that he or she has nothing better to do than overeat. This can be particularly true when one is watching television or surfing the Internet. Rather than trying to determine a cause for the boredom, an individual may just try to “fix” it by indulging in high-fat, high-calorie food.

How do you know if you are an emotional eater? Ask yourself some key questions: Do I tend to eat when I’m worried? Scared? Sad? Do I find that eating lifts my spirits? Am I spending more time eating than engaging in other activities I enjoy? Do my binges come after I’ve suffered disappointment? Am I turning to food in order to deal with the death of a loved one…a divorce…or the defeat of my favorite team? If the answers to any of these questions is “yes,” you may be overeating purely for emotional reasons.

After you’ve identified yourself as an emotional eater, you’ll need to take steps to correct your behavior. Perhaps the most effective technique is diversion. In other words, if you find yourself reaching for the cookie jar, find another activity to engage in. The answer could be taking a walk, kickboxing, or dancing. Or it could be something less physically demanding, such as needlepoint or crochet. The idea is to get your hands…and perhaps the rest of your body…moving. In time, you might find the urge to overeat subsides as you become involved with other activities.

Another effective step you can take is to identify the triggers for your emotional eating. Do you tend to binge in mid-morning, mid-afternoon, or right before bedtime? Are you snacking while watching television, while at the computer, or when you’re sitting in your favorite chair? By asking yourself these questions, you can identify the time of day when you overeat, as well as the location for your binging. With this information, you can learn to re-direct your behavior to less fattening pursuits.

Yet another helpful technique is to develop a support network to help you combat overeating. The members of your support team could include your spouse, children, parents, friends, or other over-eaters. You may even consider joining a support group which specializes in helping those who engage in binge eating. If you feel the need to overeat, contact a member of your support team. Talking through your emotions could provide you with the emotional release you need, making overeating unnecessary.

If your anxiety or depression persists, consider seeing a psychotherapist. He or she can help you develop more effective coping mechanisms. If you find it difficult to talk to friends or family about your overeating, a psychotherapist can provide you with the talk therapy you need to overcome your problem.

Now you can be a confident expert on Emotional Eating. OK, maybe not an expert. But you should have something to bring to the table next time you join a discussion on Emotional Eating.

Gastric Bypass - The Advantages of Laparoscopic Surgery

by Donald Saunders

Gastric bypass surgery is the most commonly carried out operation for weight loss in the US with around 140,000 surgeries being carried out each year Undertaken for more than 50 years, hundreds of surgeons have grown up with gastric bypass surgery and have a very good understanding of both its risks and benefits.

For many gastric bypass surgery is the final option when other types of dieting and weight loss have been unsuccessful and where you are greatly overweight. This commonly means that you have a body mass index (BMI) greater than 40, or greater than 35 with an accompanying condition that increases the risk of premature death or disability. Those conditions would include liver disease, heart disease, obstructive sleep apnea and hypertension among others. In its simplest form, this translates into being approximately 100 pounds more than your ideal weight.

The rationale behind gastric bypass surgery is quite simply to bring down the size of the stomach and bypass the larger portion of the stomach, along with part of the intestine, restricting your ability to eat too much food and also reducing the body's absorption of the food that is eaten.

Although open gastric bypass procedures are still frequently performed an increasing number of surgeons are moving to the laparoscopic approach and, though this requires considerable training and expertise on the surgeon's part, there are various advantages to this approach. Amongst these are:

1. As only a few (commonly 5) tiny incisions during this form of procedure the time that it takes to heal after surgery is vastly reduced, as is the chance of infection and of the complications of a subsequent hernia.

2. There is very much less post-operative pain and the little pain that is present needs only mild painkillers such as paracetamol and codeine.

3. This type of surgery allows you to return to work in a reasonably short timescale, commonly as little as one week although it is advised that patients do not return to work for some two weeks to be on the safe side.

4. Laparoscopic surgery enables greater precision as the procedure is done under magnification and the surgeon can see details not visible during open surgery.

5. As patients are up and about very quickly there is a lower risk of bed sores, pneumonia, blood clots and other complications generally associated with immobility.

6. As laprascopic surgery is quicker than open surgery the patient spends less time in theatre and needs less anesthesia, producing fewer anesthesia-related complications.

Gastric bypass produces a significant improvement in the quality of life for patients and also has the additional benefit of improving, or in some cases of curing, headache, hypertension, diabetes, sleep apnea, arthritis and other disorders.

That the surgery can now be carried out so much more easily and can leave patients quite pain free and have them back on their feet quickly means that an increasing number of people are likely to make use of gastric bypass surgery and enjoy a happier and healthier lifestyle.

Subway Diet

by J. Brian Keith

Would you like to find out what those-in-the-know have to say about Subway Diet? The information in the article below comes straight from well-informed experts with special knowledge about Subway Diet.

If you base what you do on inaccurate information, you might be unpleasantly surprised by the consequences. Make sure you get the whole Subway Diet story from informed sources.

For many of us, fast food is the only food at lunchtime. We’re in a tremendous hurry to get back to our workday, so we choose food based on convenience rather than nutritional value. In recent years, a number of fast food outlets have attempted to add more health-conscious selections to their menu; for the most part, these consist of salads and fruit cups. While they may have fewer calories than standard fast food, they may not be as tasty.

Yet, in many cities, there is an alternative to the regular burger-and-salad fare: Subway, a restaurant which specializes in six inch and foot-long submarine sandwiches. At first glance, you wouldn’t think of Subway as being a dieter’s delight—there is all that carbohydrate-rich bread and fat-filled cheeses. However, to Jared Fogle, Subway is like diet Nirvana. That’s because Jared lost 245 pounds through what he calls the Subway diet. His routine consisted of a six-inch turkey sub, sans mayonnaise and cheese, potato chips, and a diet drink for lunch. Dinner consisted of a foot-long veggie sub, also without condiments, and more diet cola. As a result of his experience, Jared has become a spokesman for Subway.

As far as exercise is concerned, Jared avoided it at the beginning. Weighing more than 400 pounds, he found it difficult to move. However, as he began losing weight, he started walking to his college classes instead of taking the bus. Eventually, he began walking 1.5 miles each day.

One of the key ingredients of Jared’s Subway diet is convenience. It is relatively simple to walk to a Subway restaurant and order subs twice a day. You don’t have to spend time shopping for food and preparing meals. If you enjoy sub sandwiches, you may find the diet easy to maintain. Since you will be consuming only about 1,000 calories, weight reduction is also guaranteed. Thus, it might be one of the most effective diets in existence today.

Of course, there are disadvantages to the Subway diet. For instance, eating the same type of subs each day can be repetitive and difficult to stomach. Also, you may lose out on vital vitamins and minerals such as vitamin D and zinc. In addition, the diet offers nothing in the way of breakfast, so you will be sacrificing the nutrients that a healthy breakfast can provide. In addition, the Subway diet can be an expensive one to follow, since you’ll have to purchase all those sub sandwiches.

However, it’s possible that you can vary Jared’s diet and still lose weight. Subway offers a number of sandwiches with six grams of fat or less. These include the six inch ham (290 calories), the six-inch chicken breast (330 calories), the six-inch roast beef (290 calories), the six-inch club (320 calories), the sweet onion chicken teriyaki (380 calories), the turkey breast (280 calories), turkey breast and ham (290 calories), and veggie delite (230 calories). Subway also offers carb-conscious wraps as an alternative to sub buns. These include the chicken bacon ranch wrap, tuna wrap, turkey and bacon melt, and turkey breast wrap. In addition, the restaurant chain now offers a number of salads which are also a healthy alternative to normal fast food fare.

One of the great advantages to Subway is the large amount of fresh vegetables which you can add to your sandwich. You can choose such items as spinach, tomatoes, lettuce, olives, green peppers, and sweet peppers. You can change the types of vegetables you use each day in order to add variety to your meal.

The critical problem with any Subway-based diet is the discipline required. Day after day, you have to limit your food intake to what is available at the Subway counter. This can be quite a challenge. While you can choose from different lunch meats, and you can combine subs with salads, you are still quite limited in your menu choices.

Is the Subway diet right for you? If you really love subs and hate to cook, Subway may offer just the meal plan you’re looking for. However, if you are not fond of subs and you want a lot of variety in your diet, you’ll have to pass up the Subway plan for another diet.

Hopefully the sections above have contributed to your understanding of Subway Diet. Share your new understanding about Subway Diet with others. They'll thank you for it.

OBESITY LEADS TO DIABETES

by Dr.Jeffry Weiss

Insulin resistance, or syndrome X as it is now called, is the most under-diagnosed disease in the U.S. today. It is estimated that as much as 25% of the population either has, or has symptoms of diabetes. Six and one-half million Americans are being treated for diabetes. Studies indicate that there are an additional 6.5 million adults with undetected type II diabetes, and another 25 million have impaired glucose tolerance that may lead to full blown diabetes. The primary reason for this is that in 1900 the average person consume 2 pounds of sugar a year. By the years 2000, the amount was 200 pounds per year. Simply, our insulin system is breakingdown faster under an impossible workload.

The difference between Insulin Resistance and Type II Diabetes: Insulin Resistance may occur for many decades before Type II Diabetes is diagnosed. With Insulin Resistance, the pancreas is producing too much insulin. With diabetes, the pancreas can no longer produce insulin. If treated early, Insulin Resistance does not eventually become Diabetes and does not require the daily administration of medication to control the disease.

After eating a high glycemic meal, the pancreas releases insulin to take the excess sugar out of the blood. The problem is that insulin has a greater half-life than glucose. So, even after all the recent sugar is whisked away into the muscles and liver (the body can only store about 300 grams of carbohydrates in the muscles and 60-90 grams in the liver), the insulin is still actively taking even more sugar out of the blood stream until blood sugar level plummet. The brain then signals the body to eat foods that will quickly raise blood sugar levels. This translates to a craving for high glycemic index food
(sugary, products made with processed flour, starches, and some fruits) and the cycle continues.

After years of repeating the process, the pancreas becomes less efficient, or unable, to release enough insulin into the blood stream to take all the excess sugar out of the bloodstream and carry it to the muscle and other cells in the body.
We’ve found the very latest treatments for diabetes – both plant derivatives and pharmacological. Here are just a few of these amazing discoveries. Here is what you should do and shouldn’t do. Here’s what how the body processes sugar, what happens when the process breaks down and what to do to avoid it and what to do if you already have it.

Tid-Bit: CLA (conjugated linoleic acid) – the next miracle drug? This fatty acid is found in meat and dairy products. When tested on young rats it has been shown to:
1) Prevent heart attacks

2) Prevent type 2 diabetes

3) Prevent some cancers (breast)

4) Boost the immune system

5) Increases bone mass

6) Breaks down and prevents fat formation

7) Suppresses appetite

Recommended dosage: 4.5 grams, 80% CLA per day. Test results: A test group made up of 149 women and 31 men, lost 9% body fat in on year without changing their eating habits or lifestyle. Food diaries showed that subjects taking CLA consumed 273 fewer calories per day than at the beginning of the study.

Close Kept Secrets to Weight Loss Lesson #39

by Tami Close

Close Kept Secrets to Weight Loss Lesson #39

I trust that you are having amazing success, and I’m very proud of your commitment.

What does success mean?

A wonderful friend, who is actually part of my weight loss program, shared that success is simple steps taken towards your goal. So often though, we are very hard on ourselves because we haven’t gotten to the top of the mountain.

How do we get to the top? One step at a time.

We must reward ourselves periodically and be grateful that we are taking those steps….even when we believe we are off track. Self-sabotage, which is only our EGO, can be very destructive. It says “See, you were off track. I knew you couldn’t do it. Who do you think you are. You’re never going to achieve success.”

Remember, EGO stands for Edging God Out. With this said, it reminds us that we need to check our connection to God, clean it off and plug it back in.

Recently, I encountered my own EGO when I believed I was off track in my business. Thus, I did some work on forgiving myself. This was very soothing to my soul. What emerged from that was a refocus on my purpose, my commitment to God. Seek forgiveness for your perceived imperfections.

We are always right where we need to be, and what is so incredible is that God is right here all the time loving us no matter what. It’s when we believe that we are separate from God that the EGO is allowed to take over.

Wayne Dyer says that there is no such thing as an egoectomy, but right now let’s do something that will give us the same results without the surgery. We want to ensure our connection to God is clear, and the only way to do this is to get rid of the EGO.

Here we go:

_______________________(fill in your name), I forgive you for ___________________.

Repeat this for all the things in which you need to forgive yourself.

Then take your right hand and make a fist. Put it over your heart and in a clockwise circular motion, repeat I love you, I love you, I love you. Do this 10 times.

The EGO is removed and surgery is a success! Didn’t that feel great?

You are committed to your weight loss/healthy lifestyle goals. Periodically check your connection to God and ensure that it’s glowing.

I’m proud of you. Keep up the good work and be easy on yourself.

Love and hugs,

Tami

Boosting Immune System is One Step Toward Preventing Alzheimer’s Diseas

by Frank Mangano

Drugs have been used to ease the symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease and give people a better quality of life. Many such therapies are designed to fight the effects of the build up of amyloid proteins that form a plaque around brain neurons. If only this plaque could be prevented from forming in the first place, people would have a much lower risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease.

Recent research out of Canada suggests that the bone marrow holds the key to cleansing amyloid plaque from the brain. Microglia derived from the bone marrow is able to attack the most toxic forms of this plaque. The key then is to increase this natural scavenger and get it to release from the bone marrow so it can do its job. This natural defense mechanism is now thought to be triggered by boosting the immune system, according to the trials conducted on laboratory mice.

What are the best ways to boost the immune system and cleanse potentially harmful plaques that could be building up in your brain? A diet that is balanced and full of antioxidants is the primary way. Here are some other tips to getting the best immune system building nutrition and reducing the factors that weaken it.

1. Get Your Essential Fatty Acids. This is the number one immune system builder. Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids are necessary to optimal health. A fish oil supplement is the best source of fatty acids since American diets don’t normally contain enough fish to provide these nutrients.

2. Take Care of Your Lymphatic System. This is the system of organs, nodes, and vessels that help cleanse the body continuously. Using the Chinese herb, Ligustrum (nu zhen zi) increases bone marrow production of lymphocytes and benefits the thymus.

3. Get Enough Exercise. Exercise increases the production of T lymphocyte and reduces stress, both of which support a strong immune system.

4. Look at Your Lifestyle. Drinking alcohol and caffeine and smoking cigarettes all weaken the immune system. Also, excessive stress for long periods of time or not getting enough sleep makes you more susceptible to all kinds of disease.

5. Look at Your Environment. Household cleaners, pesticides, and food additives all suppress the immune system. If there is an abundance of these types of factors in your life, all the good nutrition may not be enough to counteract their impact.
