Finding an Anti Aging Formula that Works

by Morgan Hamilton

My mother is constantly complaining about the wrinkles and fine lines that have been appearing on her face. I am not really concerned about these things, but then again, I am not a female. The female gender generally pays more attention to the signs of aging. Maybe this is what some people mean when they say, that men age and gain character, but when women age they look like old maids.

I think that that statement is not fair. It’s obvious that a man initially instilled this mentality about aging. Nevertheless, the cosmetic market has been bombarded by the ever-popular anti aging formula. New anti aging products and brands are being sold at beauty stores and clinics every year. However, it’s difficult to determine the effectiveness of these products unless you test them yourself.

What anti aging formula do you use? Are you using the Este Lauder Fruition or the Clinique Turnaround Cream? Both of these products have some sort of exfoliant as the active ingredient which helps maintain your youthful beauty. Fruit juices are also popular ingredients that are in any quality anti aging formula. They are useful in clearing away the dead skin, making you look younger.

Nowadays, even men are using some sort of new-age anti aging formula. Men can choose from a number of cosmetic lines through the Internet. If you think that it’s great to see a few male skin care systems in the department stores, you’ll be amazed by what’s on the World-Wide-Web. There are countless cosmetic products that are specially made for men in cyberspace.

However, finding an anti aging formula that actually works as advertised can be hard to find. Decent products that prove worthy are often far and few in between. Fortunately, you have a good chance of finding a quality anti aging formula through the Internet. You can check out the reviews and read about what other people are saying. The anti aging formula that can preserve your youthfulness may be just a mouse click away.

Morgan Hamilton offers expert advice and great tips regarding all aspects concerning Anti Aging Formula. Visit our site for more helpful information about Anti Aging Formula and other similar topics.

Article Arthritis

by Umema Quettawala

WHAT IS ARTHRITIS ?

For most people arthritis pain and inflammation is a normal process as the body ages. In fact, most people over the age of 50 show some signs of this disease. Joints naturally degenerate over time.

Arthritis is a term that includes a group of disorders that affect the joints and muscles. Arthritis symptoms include joint pain, inflammation and limited movement of joints. When a joint is inflamed it may be swollen, tender, warm to the touch or red. Surrounding each joint is a protective capsule holding a lubricating fluid to aid in motion. Cartilage, a slippery smooth substance, covers most joints to assure an even, fluid motion of the joint. With joint arthritis , the cartilage may be damaged, narrowed and lost by a degenerative process or by inflammation making movement painful.

There are over 100 types of this degenerating process and rheumatic diseases including osteoarthritis, rheumatoid a rthritis , and fibromyalgia.

MANAGEMENT OPTIONS

Fortunately, arthritis can be managed through a combination of medication, exercise, rest, weight-management, nutrition, and, in some cases, surgery. Arthritis is a chronic disease that will remain for a long time and possibly for the rest of the patient's remaining life. The treatments will probably change over time and medication may be adjusted.

SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS

There are many different signs and symptoms of arthritis . If one experiences pain, stiffness, or swelling around a joint for more than two weeks, then he should visit the physician. Only a physician can determine if this is because of arthritis . These symptoms may come up suddenly or slowly over time and may also include sleeplessness, fatigue, depression, and muscle aches.

The doctor will confirm the type of problem and will then prepare the course of treatment.

2 Things That Cannot Be Skipped For Diabetics

by Ng Peng Hock

Diabetes can raise the risk of leading to heart disease. One should not treat this lightly if he or she has confirmed to be diabetic. Besides medications, urine test and exercise are the two things that cannot be skipped. Why? Please read on.

When one has diabetes, he or she will be monitored by testing blood sugar instead of the normal urine test. However, patients having diabetes and high blood pressure make them more susceptible to kidney damage. This is because studies have shown that hypertension and diabetes are the leading causes for kidney failure in United States and Japan, the two countries with the highest kidney failure rate in the world.

A urine test, in which a special test strip is dipped into a urine sample, will reveal if the urine has abnormal amounts of microalbuminuria or albumin, a protein. A positive result could be an early indication of kidney failure. Early detection can help the patient’s condition through lifestyle changes and medication.

High-risk patients with diabetes and hypertension should be screened annually for microalbuminuria, which is hassle-free and affordable. Moreover, treatment is available if the condition is detected.

Moderate exercise such as walking or cycling to work every day, can help keep people with diabetes alive, though more vigorous exercise help, too. A Finnish research, published in 2004 in the American Heart Association journal Circulation, reported that moderately active work was associated with a 9 percent reduction in cardiovascular death and active work was associated with 40 percent reduction in heart or stroke death. People who ran, cycled heavily or jogged in their leisure time were 33 percent less likely to die as compared to 17 percent drop in risk for moderate exercisers.

The study reviewed data on 3,316 people aged 25 to 74 who had type-2 diabetes who had filled out extensive surveys on their health and leisure habits. They defined light commuting as using motorized transportation, moderate commuting as walking or bicycling up to 29 minutes daily and active commuting as walking or cycling 30 minutes or more a day. Light leisure activity included reading or watching television while moderate activity included more than 4 hours each week of walking, cycling or light gardening.

Type-2 diabetes can be prevented or at least postponed by physical activity and a healthy diet. These people, therefore, need to look for ways to build activity into their work, their commuting to and from work and also their leisure time. Physical activity during commuting is one of the easiest, least-time consuming ways to promote health.

Hopefully the above finding could change the perspective of people who too often think only of leisure-time physical training or other aerobic activities.

A Brief Overview On High Blood Pressure Medicines

by Javier Fuller

High blood pressure happens to be a widespread disease among people all around the world but we, Americans due to increased level of cholesterol, are more prone to this malady that often results in severe complications. There could be various reasons for why heart exerts more pressure on the blood flow that is popularly known as high blood pressure.

One common reason among Americans is widespread occurrence of high level of cholesterol. In case you discover yourself with this disease, you are needed to lay stress on dietary control. Life style changes greatly contribute in curbing hypertension. But a consistent rise in blood pressure must be treated by medications in consultation with doctor. There exist some over the counter medicines that you should strictly avoid in favor of prescription medications.

There are four common groups of high blood pressure medication that are as follows:

Angiotensin- Converting Enzyme (ACE) Inhibitors
With the help of these medications, functions of enzymes that happen to bring constriction in arteries are inhibited. This constriction often happens to be a cause of hypertension. There could be certain side effects such as excessive thirst and loss of taste with intake of these inhibitors, but these effects last for only a few days. These are relatively newer drugs.

Diuretics
It is most common medication for high blood pressure. This medication works in two possible ways. When diuretics are taken with a mild dosage it assists in relaxing blood arteries. The other work performed by it is facilitating out flow of excess water and sodium through urine in order to lessen the amount of blood. The only side effect associated with this medicine is reduction in potassium level of your body that happens to be an essential element for the normal functioning of body. For that food rich in potassium could be taken in plenty. Doctors often suggest potassium tablets along with this medication.

Calcium Channel Blockers
This group of medicines is not too old, but their usage is gaining momentum. They affect blood pressure in a very different way. They usually tend to disrupt smooth inflow of calcium in body cells, thus reducing cells intake of calcium. With reduced calcium heart rate gets reduced easing pressure on moving blood.

Beta -Blockers
Medicines of this group directly cast their impact on nervous system by making brain give a retarding signal to heart. The heart rate gets retarded and in turn pace of blood circulation decreases. Thus hypertension gets reduced. This medicine is rarely prescribed to diabetics with hypertension.

These are some common medications that you should take in consonance with constant monitoring of blood pressure through blood pressure monitor equipments. Lastly, beware of one thing. Don't overdose yourself with these medications, consequences could be disastrous.

Gastric Bypass Reduces Hunger in Some Surprising Ways

by Jonni Good

A smaller stomach may not be the only reason why post-gastric bypass patients eat less.

A recent study done at the Emory University in Atlanta found a significant drop in a hunger-related hormone in post-gastric bypass patients. The hormone is called ghrelin, and is one of 24 different hormones that may help to regulate the appetite.

After patients received the Roux-en-Y procedure, the most common form of gastric bypass surgery, the researchers found the hormone ghrelin dropped by almost a third.

During the weight loss procedure, the size of the stomach is reduced, and some of the upper intestines are bypassed. It is thought that the ghrelin hormone may normally be produced in the bypassed areas of the gastric system.

Dr. Edward Lin, the lead researcher in the study, believes that ghrelin is one of the most powerful appetite stimulating hormones naturally produced in the body. Lowered levels of the hormone may help patients lose weight after their surgery, along with the strict post-surgical diet and the smaller stomach.

Another study conducted by doctors at King's College London and Hammersmith Hospital discovered that gastric bypass patients produced higher levels of the PYY hormone. This hormone is normally released after a meal to tell the brain you're full. After a meal, most thin people's PYY hormone level increases by 50%. However, the study found that post-gastric bypass patients had a 150% increase in their levels of this appetite suppressing hormone.

Interestingly, obese patients who did not undergo the weight loss surgery had little or no increase in the PYY hormone after a full meal. Also, the increased hormone level was found in patients after standard gastric bypass surgery, but not after a gastric banding.

Research is now underway to see if these hormonal changes may be used as an alternative treatment for obesity, without the surgery. Hope for a non-surgical weight loss cure was stirred in 2002 when researchers reported some success in reducing the weight of obese rats with the PYY hormone. Unfortunately, other researchers have been unable to repeat their findings.

Of course, hormones are not the only reasons that gastric bypass patients feel less hungry. Patients are restricted to a water fast for a week or more after their surgery, and many people who experience water fasts find they have no appetite after the first day or two. During the Roux-en-Y procedure, the size of the stomach is greatly reduced, and only small amounts can be comfortably eaten at one time. Many foods, such as red meat and foods high is sugar and fat, can cause nausea and vomiting in post-surgical patients. And most gastric bypass patients receive psychological, behavioral and nutritional counseling both before and after the procedure.

Most post-surgical patients will lose up to 80% of their excess weight after the surgery, but some of this weight is often regained, so much more research is needed.

If scientists can find a hormone or herb that will safely and consistently suppress the appetite and put a stop to habitual overeating, one of the world's most common illnesses will have found an easy cure.

Getting the Best Deal on Diabetic Supplies

by Morgan Hamilton

For everyone who is diabetic it is very important to be aware of his or her blood glucose readings and never fail to keep up with them. This tracking of blood glucose readings usually requires a whole armory of diabetic testing supplies. Diabetics should always have on hand these diabetic supplies. The common diabetic supplies include an accurate glucometer, alcohol wipes, lancets, and test strips.

Depending on the type of your insurance, you may be able to choose where to take your diabetic supplies. For example, at first Medicare and Medicaid will cover the expenses for your diabetic supplies. The trick is that if you happen to damage your diabetic supplies, they may not allow you to take more diabetic supplies for a certain period. So, if you lose your diabetic supplies or if you destroy them in any way, you will not be able to take new diabetic supplies. This is because the period of time has not expired according to the standards set by your insurance plan.

This problem stands in a different manner if you do not have insurance. If you have insurance, it will cover most of the expenses for the diabetic supplies. However, if you have no insurance, the diabetic supplies will be at your expenses. This means that you should search for the best deal. Nowadays, online medical stores are available. Such stores are libertymedical.com, diabeticsupplies.com and diabeticexpress.com. They all offer diabetic supplies at low price. In addition, they offer answers to any question you may ask about their products.

Most of these online shopping companies offer free delivery for their products. You can even order up to three-month provision of diabetic supplies with just one order. In this way, you will be always sure that you have enough diabetic supplies available.

If you prefer to buy your diabetic medications together with the diabetic supplies, you can order them online with the new service the company Liberty Medical offers. The prescription medications service is available in order not to waste time by shopping online.

I think it is not necessary to remind how important for every diabetic is to have diabetic supplies available. Ask your physician about the regular basis of the blood glucose levels. Then, keep your blood glucose levels on this regular basis, as this is the only way to control this chronic disease. Monitoring of blood glucose levels is only possible with diabetic supplies. Your diabetic supplies should be always somewhere around you.

It is very important to test your blood glucose levels often enough. You have to be always sure that your blood glucose is not too high or too low. If the blood glucose levels are either too high or too low, something must be done. For insulin dependant diabetics the blood glucose reading is necessary because in this way they get to know what quantity of insulin is needed. You can be sure that diabetic treatment is working only by blood glucose testing.

Testing is best way to cope with the diabetic disease and that is why having on hand enough diabetic supplies is so important. Of course, some diabetic medications and food diabetic diets will be necessary but can only be sure that they are effective if you test your blood glucose levels with your diabetic supplies. With proper diabetic supplies, diabetes is an entirely manageable disease.

Healthy Eating Plan For Restaurant Diners

by Jim O'Connor

Have you ever wondered how in the world you can practice healthy eating while dining out? Wonder no more as I share with you my 9 surefire ways of mastering your dining experience so you not only walk out feeling satisfied, but lean too.

No wonder why people today are more concerned about healthy restaurant eating. A recent study of 300 American chefs showed that 50% didn't even consider the caloric content of the foods they served. As a matter of fact, only 1 out of 6 American chefs feel calorie content is important. Therefore, as expected, a typical chef's main goal is to provide you with an excellent, but not necessarily a healthy, dining experience so you will tell your friends, and come back wanting more. Healthy eating is not on the top of chefs to-do lists. With that said, loading the dishes up with fat, salt, and sugar is of very little concern to most chefs. They are simply willing to do whatever is necessary to show the customer extreme value focusing on the main goals of making their food taste and look great, even if it is at the expense of our health. This extreme perceived value goal has lead to our "super size portion generation" as we sadly see today.

Do to the fast pace seen in today's society, Americans are now getting over one third of there calories from dining out. How many of those calories are actually healthy dining calories? Probably not too many.

In today's society we, as diners, must take on more of a personal responsibility than ever before focusing on healthy restaurant eating. The chefs, restaurants, and our friends are not going to look out for our health. Thus, it is our personal responsibility to preserve our health by eating right while dining out.

Here are 9 surefire health eating tips to help you take personal responsibility by eating right while dining out.

1. Don't arrive ravenous. It is best to have a small snack a couple of hours prior to dining out. This will ensure that you don't enter the restaurant ready to eat the whole bread basket. Don't worry about spoiling your dinner. It is a bad healthy eating habit to come into a restaurant ravenous.

2. Box it up. When an extra large portion comes to the table request a doggy bad immediately before putting a bite of food in your mouth. Cut the extra large portion in half, take it home, and enjoy it tomorrow.

3. Dine at healthy eating establishments. Patronize healthy dining restaurants so you won't be caught in a situation of not being able to find anything healthy on the menu. Don't set yourself up for failure.

4. Tell servers what you want. Be specific to the server about what you want to substitute. It never hurts to ask about getting your food prepared in a healthy dining manner. An example would be replace the mayonnaise with mustard. It never hurts to ask.

5. Dressing on the side. Another healthy eating tip is to order your salad dressing on the side. Be a dipper. You will save yourself added fat, and calories.

6. Beware of the beverage. As you know, wine, beer, and regular sodas all have calories too. Look at the water option to conserve calories. Why drink your calories when you can eat them.

7. Healthy eating means avoid these terms: alfredo, au gratin, breaded crispy, french fried, pesto, hollandaise, light cream sauce, sauteed, or pastry.

8. Don't clean your whole plate. A good healthy eating exercise is to always leave a bit of food on your plate. You don't have to clean your plate. If you follow the doggy bag rule, of course, this may not apply.

9. Eat slowly. Eating slowly is proven to decrease the amount of food you eat. Thus, the caloric content will be less.

By following each of these 9 healthy restaurant eating rules you will have a better chance of taking responsibility of eating right for the preservation your overall health.

Depression Medication - A Way Back To The Good Life

by David Richards

When a person is suffering from the severe disease called chronic depression, most likely he or she may need to be prescribed depression medication as soon as possible. If you have experienced any of the classical symptoms of depression, persisting for more than a month, you may need to visit your physician without fail. You can help yourself and your doctor in his or her diagnosis work, by providing as much details as possible about your problems of depression. Always keep in mind that if your problem is severe enough to demand extra help, you will need to take a family member or friend along on your first visit, to see that you are helped in a proper way.

A good and proven way to find the right treatment or medication against your depression consists of

- a correct analysis of your clinical history,

- a precise overview of the current status of the disease

- a right diagnosis.

The first obvious step on your part, should normally be to provide every bit of information about your problem; your previous medical history, physical tests and preliminary laboratory tests can assist your doctor know a lot, if a general medical problem is the real cause of your malady.

Most cases of depressions are caused by a general medical illness or medicines associated with those diseases. As soon as these conditions are identified and treated, the depression will usually disappear by itself.

Unfortunately, depression medication is simply not possible without your active cooperation and help; you should never hide anything from your doctor.

Based on the intensity or severity of the disease condition, depression medication is for practical reasons classified in three main categories:

1. Emergency or acute medication

2. Continuation or long term medication.

3. Maintenance medication

These depression medications are used to treat any one of the three main types or levels of depression symptoms, which are

- severe depression,
- moderate depression and
- mild depression

For each group of symptoms, most treatment methods or schools have attached a defined treatment or medication, which works better with a clinical efficiency.

The main purpose of acute or immediate medication is to systematically take off the severe symptoms of depression until you feel well and better. Continuation medication means to continue the treatment on a more long term basis even after you feel fine. This is critical because it avoids the recurrence of depression after some time.

If you experience one or more episodes of recurrent depression, a third kind of medication, commonly called "maintenance treatment" or "maintenance medication" is commonly used. In this medication of depression, the patient is maintained on the depression treatment for a longer period of time.

There are many types of depression medication methods and combinations like

- antidepressant medicine
- antidepressant medicine combined with psychotherapy etc..

Be aware that medication for depression does not work instantly. As a matter of fact, it works slowly and gradually over a period of several months. However, with the correct medicine, most affected people will obtain good results within a month. If we compare with psychotherapy alone, medical treatment is significantly faster.

For this disease as for many others, early detection and correct medication are probably the most important parameters for a successful treatment. It is important to treat depression properly at any cost, as soon as it has been detected and diagnosed. If not, there are good chances that the depression may relapse again, with even more severity and intensity.

Pure Food is Good Medicine

by Dr. Robert Bard

Vegetarianism

Vegetarianism maybe a noble attitude but most people who profess this life style are seriously on their way to being very unhealthy.

It is bad enough that the food supply is not healthy – meat, milk, eggs, processed foods, MSG, Equal, Hydrolyzed vegetable proteins, herbicides, pesticides, fungicides, Genetically modified grains – the list goes on and on. The problem with vegetarians is that they have their principles but no knowledge of why they should eat right or how to do it.

Besides ill health, there are other things that will affect their lives in the years to come. One of the worst is lower fertility with each new generation of vegetarians – this is separate from all the chemicals of today that causes so much sterility.

Most of the vegetarians that I know live on empty carbs – breads, cheese pizza, cookies, pasta and some juices, fruits, vegetables, etc. Empty carbs + chemicals aren’t a healthy live style.

Pure Food is Good Medicine

Henry Bieler was known as the “Physician to the Stars,” treating Gloria Swanson, Greta Garbo among other celebrities. What set Dr. Bieler apart from other physicians of his day – a philosophy emphasizing how “food, not drugs, is your best medicine.”

Hippocrates said, “Nature Heals; the physician is only nature’s assistant.” For disease, Hippocrates prescribed a diet regimen first, medicine second, and surgery last. Today medicine has turned that around – more money, more money, and no money.

Bieler observed some common sense conclusions; using drugs for treatment is often harmful, causing serious side effects; most illnesses “can be cured through the proper use of foods” & periods of fasting to detoxify the body; the build up of chemical toxins in the body causes disease; “we have become so preoccupied with synthesizing chemicals in the laboratory that we have lost sight of the fact that these same chemicals have been lodged in our foods for thousands of years”; Using synthetic vitamins does nothing for human health and depletes ourselves financially. Processed foods eaten today are “about as far removed from the natural diet of man as man is from his primitive jungle… strangely enough, humans still have approximately the same digestive system and liver as our ancestors.”

Mankind has fallen prey to advertising of processed industrial food manufacturer’s and pharmaceutical corporations that good health is something that can only be purchased in a bottle.

Bieler’s insights have been affirmed by Jean Carper, author of “Food; Your Miracle Medicine and The Food Pharmacy”. Carper researched thousands of medical studies at major Universities & stated, “Mother Nature is truly the world’s oldest and greatest pharmacist.”

Foods can induce a range of therapeutic effects on bodily functions, acting as anticoagulants, analgesics, sedatives, cholesterol reducers, cancer fighters, immune stimulators, anti-inflammatories, to only mention a few.

Whole food, grown on organic, nutrient-rich and chemical-free soil in a clean environment, provides the body with a synergistic array of thousands of known and unknown antioxidants, nutrients, and powerful nutraceutical compounds.

Finally, we have this perspective from T. Colin Campbell, professor at Cornell University. He identified some important principles linking nutrition and health; (1) Nutrition represents the combined activities of countless food substances.

(2) Genes do not determine diseases, but are activated as a result of nutrition. (3) Nutrition can substantially control the adverse effects of toxic chemicals that we ingest.

Unhealthy Soil = Unhealthy Plants and Animals = Unhealthy People. You can’t have healthy people without trace minerals in soil and foods. You can’t use toxic chemicals to fertilize the soil and you can’t use toxic chemicals to get rid of weeds (herbicides) and bugs (pesticides).

Sixty- five percent of the adult population has a degenerative disease, childhood cancer is rising, Alzheimer’s is an epidemic, kids are being diagnosed with ADD and ADHD & the list goes on.

Until you find a source of healthy food grown with trace minerals and without chemicals, you need to supplement three primary things - 92 trace minerals, healthful non-toxic fish oils, and a detoxification product.

Watch for Dr Bob’s Total Ocean Nutrition products in the near future. (1)Ocean Minerals – 30 cents per day (2)Virgin non-toxic salmon oil – 44 cents per day (3)Humates FP – 66 cents per day

With this list of three items plus the healthiest foods you can find – (organic if possible and as local as possible, the farther the shipping distance the poorer the food quality) – 50 to 70 percent of disease in the USA can be prevented.

Robert D Bard, OD, FAAO

I attended West Virginia University and graduated from Pennsylvania College of Optometry with a Bachelor of Science degree and a Doctor of Optometry degree.

As a health professional I was always interested in disease prevention but found the medical model – drug companies and doctors – unacceptable. The medical model towards disease is that they want us – the people – to contract disease and they will prevent us from dieing as long as we continue to take their drugs for the rest of our lives. This is their idea of preventive medicine. The population expects prevention to prevent disease before we get sick.

I became overweight and like most people blamed it on me and my eating habits, but I knew that diets and potions on TV DO NOT WORK and therefore put off doing anything until I stumbled across a solution.

In 1999 I began itching and it got worse almost by the day. I started taking antihistamines to reduce the itching and over a 10 month time period visited 4 dermatologists. The first 3 doctors miss diagnosed my problem. The forth discovered the cause but I had to use a pesticide all over my body to correct the condition – I know this seems strange but I had an infestation of Norwegian mites under my skin (I didn’t even know that mites had a pedigree much less a country of origin).

When I used the pesticide to kill the mites I swelled up like the Pillsbury Dough Boy. With this ordeal I gained even more weight and ended up looking like Porky the Pig. I also lost my sense of taste because of all the antihistamines.

In 2002 I did some consulting work for a supplement company and they gave me a gift book by Sherry Rogers, MD. At the same time I had a patient in my office that sensitive to all chemicals including the chemicals from a carpet that was 6 months old and from my cologne. He had to wear a mask filled with carbon just to get through a basic eye examination. After quizzing him about his condition I discovered that over 6 million people in the US can’t function normally because of toxic chemicals – that means holding down jobs and leading a normal life.

Because of this patient I began to investigate toxic chemicals and how they affect people, particularly my health, my taste, and weight problems. With this information I have lost 70 pounds, gone from a jean size of 50 to 40. I feel better, look better, and my big belly that used to catch food is almost gone. (I no longer catch food on my stomach)

I have discovered that the public is one big toxic chemical experiment by industrial food manufactures, chemical companies that control farm chemicals with Genetically Engineered crops, drug companies and companies that want to dump their waste products without protecting the public.

There are some really good people that write books and educate people about health issues, economic issues, environmental issues, food problems but all these people specialize in certain areas. My job as I see it is to be a reporter and filter the important information to my subscribers.

I have also been a farmer for years and one of my discoveries is that our diseased health economy starts with toxic chemicals and crop land.

Unhealthy Soil = Unhealthy Plants and Animals = Unhealthy People

I also think it is terrible that when people retire at the age of 65 that 97% are in poverty in this nation. I believe that I can help people make extra money in retirement through my experience on eBay and other sources of information. I have a free newsletter that discusses health issues and money issues to help people.

Guide For Using Herbal Weight Loss Methods

by Javier Fuller

Making people lose weight has become much of an industry these days with hoards of firms and companies offering packages that promise to have your waist line shrink into a thread and your tummy turned into washboard. Of course, they would stop at nothing to achieve their goals and boast of their value-for-money business approach.

In all likelihood, you too would find yourself standing before the mirror admiring your shape with narcissistic self-involvement. However, it will not take too long for you to realize that all rosy pictures have a darker side and so is the case with this one too. Short cut methods bring short term results with their quick fix outlook. Therefore, herbal way is the best way to shed extra weight, for it has no side effects and is thus preferable even if it is relatively slower in bringing results.

Nature has several herbs for weight loss. They can lose weight safely and effectively without the potentially dangerous medical prescriptions. Just use them together with a healthy diet and a balances workout program. They can provide that much needed extra boost to get to your desired weight loss goals. Some of the effective weight loss herbs are hereunder:

1.Green tea extract is one of the important weight loss herbs. It has been found that they boost energy loss which translates into burning of greater quantities of far resulting in effective and sage weight loss.

2.Cascara sagrada is another one of them. It is a strong stimulant laxative and may be used for weight loss but one should not keep on with it for more than a week.

3.Dandelion is a moderate laxative that aids digestion. So the next time you go for a cup of tea, it may come in handy. You may also take it as fresh dandelion salad.

4.Ephedra is also useful but had been banned for a while sometime back as the researchers has found that it increase the risk of a heart attacks if taken in excess.

5.Garcinia cambogia has the properties of an excellent metabolic stimulant and is quite effective in suppressing the appetite which makes it suitable as a weight loss herb.

But let's add a note of caution here. True, herbs do not have any serious side effects, but many of them may still not be suitable for everyone. It is better that you consult your physicians before you go for herbal weight reduction thus.
